From Small Acorns Oak Trees grow and this is the same success that Cannock Road Garages has achieved over the last 60 years. The Company was founded back in the 1940's by the two brothers Cecil and Claude Wright. Originally it was a Haulage Company. In the 1950's it was decided to move into the sale of motor vehicles, later becoming a dealer for BMC the forerunner of Rover. Sadly Cecil died in 1965 and shortly afterwards the sale of cars stopped and the Garage concentrated on petrol sales and vehicle repairs.

In Keeping with the family business Mr. Geoffrey Wright (Jnr) joined the Company, working his way through the ranks until he reached the management status that he has today. Mr. Geoffrey Wright Jnr is now a valued member of our successful team. During the past twenty years the Company has expanded without losing its focus on the Customer Service element, created back in the 1940's. As the years went on the cars sales expanded and a great deal of extensions to the existing site were undertaken. Recent expansion included the purchase of the old Coach and Horses public house, which was turned into a forecourt, this now giving us combined stock of over 200 quality used cars. Our stock is turned around every month thus providing our buyers with a quality selection of vehicles and the best deals.

Throughout the war years the Garage endeavored to look after all its customers despite their being a petrol shortage.

In 1979 the Company passed to Cecil's son Mr. Geoffrey Wright and his wife pat who both worked extremely hard to expand its potential.

As the years went on car sales were gradually worked back into the business.
